Laser tattoo removal works by delivering targeted laser energy into the tattoo pigment beneath the skin. At Laser Me Bali, Q-Switched laser technology is used to break tattoo ink into smaller pigment particles.
After the pigment is fragmented by the laser, the body gradually processes and clears these particles over time. This is why tattoos usually fade progressively rather than disappearing after a single session.
The number of sessions required depends on several factors, including ink color, pigment density, tattoo depth, tattoo size, tattoo age, tattoo location, skin type, previous treatments, and individual response.
Black tattoos often respond well to specific laser wavelengths, while colored tattoos may require a different approach depending on the pigment. Permanent makeup, microblading, eyebrow tattoos, lip blush, and eyeliner tattoos also need to be assessed carefully because cosmetic pigments can react differently from traditional tattoo ink.
Before each laser tattoo removal treatment at Laser Me Bali, the tattoo and surrounding skin are evaluated so that treatment settings can be adjusted to the individual case.
Laser tattoo removal is a non-surgical treatment. Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, or sensitivity may occur after treatment. Aftercare instructions are provided to support recovery between sessions.
Laser tattoo removal is available at Laser Me Canggu and Laser Me Uluwatu, Bali.
